Sporting clays is a challenging shotgun clay target course designed to simulate field shooting.  Merging the challenge of golf and the excitement of trap and skeet, Sporting Clays brings a whole new meaning to a 'shotgun start.'  Its popularity has soared in recent years, with over half a million shooters now participating.

Shooters are presented with a wide variety of targets that duplicate the flight path of game birds, such as flushing, crossing, incoming and other angling shots.  Courses typically include five or 10 shooting "stations" with shooters moving from one station to the next to complete the course. Each "station" presents shooters with a different type of shot.
