Travel to the bottom of the Grand Canyon on the scenic South Kaibab trail (5.6 miles; 4,500 ft descent) with spectacular panoramic vistas and return via the Bright Angel Trail (9.7 miles; 4,300 ft ascent).

2.5 days.

Excursions originate and end in Phoenix, AZ, with shared transportation. Adventurers leave Phoenix at noon Friday, hike all day Saturday returning to the rim for lodging Saturday night. Sunday is for short day hikes, returning Sunday evening.

For overnight excursions, accommodations include shared quarters at a local motel. Private quarters available at additional cost. The excursion does not include lodging at the bottom of the canyon (Phantom Ranch) due to limited accommodations.

Each excursion will include a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 20 hikers.

Grand Canyon hiking excursions are available March through November, though temperatures vary dramatically by time of year.
